The entire CCEW community offers its prayers and support to all who have been displaced or impacted by the devastating wildfires that have gripped our community. Many of our clients and residents, as well as own staff, have been affected.

 

Roughly 823 structures, 719 of them family homes, have been destroyed or damaged. 

 

In this moment of great challenge, we need your help. Catholic Charities Eastern Washington has set up an emergency fund to help support the individuals and families impacted by the Spokane Complex Fire.

 

Please consider making a donation to assist those in need during this crisis. Your investment will help our Emergency Response Team provide essential items like food, gas and clothing as well as housing, counseling, and short/long term assistance.

Thanks in part to generous community donations, to date CCEW has:​

• Received 1378 requests for assistance; many of those originating from the Disaster Assistance Center. (Our call center is in the process of reaching out to each person)

• Purchased and handed out nearly $130,000 worth of gift cards for things like groceries and gas

• Placed affected persons in and managed 53 Airbnb referrals

• Received 1,750 community donations – both monetary and physical items (such as clothing, hygiene and school essentials, as well as household items.

 

This is a moment where we are asking for our entire community to lean in with us as we carry out our promise to Feed the Hungry, Heal the Hurting and Welcome the Stranger.
