The entire CCEW community offers its prayers and support to all who have been displaced or impacted by the devastating wildfires that have gripped our community.

 

During this time of great challenge, we need your help. Catholic Charities Eastern Washington has set up an emergency fund to help support the individuals and families impacted by the Spokane Complex Fire.

 

This is a moment where we are asking for our entire community to lean in with us as we carry out our promise to Feed the Hungry, Heal the Hurting and Welcome the Stranger. 

 

Our agency provides assistance and referrals in the following areas:

• Long- and short-term housing

• Baby supplies

• Family and adult essentials, including hygiene items and school supplies

• Food and clothing (*NOTE: Due to the high volume of donations, we have put a pause on accepting clothing until further notice)

• Counseling and mental health support

• Chaplaincy services

• Case management

 

Thanks in part to generous community donations, to date CCEW has:​

• Received 1,570 requests for assistance; many of those originating from the Disaster Assistance Center (Our staff has reached out to each person to assess needs) 

• Purchased and handed out nearly $170,000 worth of gift cards for things like groceries and gas

• Managed 57 Airbnb referrals for those impacted

• Received 2,454 community donations – both monetary and physical items (such as clothing, hygiene and school essentials, as well as household items)
