Family Information

Young children’s learning and development are integrally connected to their families. You are the “expert” on your child.  Your partnership is invaluable in providing your child’s teacher with important information about your child, which allows her or him to intentionally plan a routine and activities that support your child’s unique characteristics and incorporate your family values, culture, and beliefs.

Teachers provide daily communication to families including daily schedule, routine, activities offered, nutritional information, sleeping patterns, and other information specific to your child. We have an open door policy where families are encouraged to fully participate in their child's learning by communicating with teachers on a regular basis.

We look forward to partnering with you in your child’s learning and development!

SACFC utilizes Conscience Discipline Parent Education (CD) to engage parents as partners in building healthy, brain-smart families that help children grow and learn. CD is trauma informed, evidence-based, and research-backed social emotional learning (SEL) with best practice strategies scientifically and practically designed for a child’s success. CD is a leader in brain-based social-emotional learning that builds resilience in children, families, educators, and schools. Our goal for implementing CD as part of our curriculum and family engagement is to provide children, parents/guardians, and SACFC staff with the opportunity to learn skills and strategies that are both scientifically backed and practically applied in the classroom an in daily life.
