Little Library will have BIG impact on Children

Thanks to a generous donor, Catholic Charities Eastern Washington has opened a Community Little Library in a cul-de-sac garden outside some of its properties in West Spokane.

This public resource will be on display in a garden at the cul-de-sac where Rising Strong, Community Behavioral Health Services, and Mother Theresa and Sister's Havens connect. In the near future, the library will face River Haven and serve the Salish school families when those projects are built.

The Little Library honors Michael Lawerence “Vito” Chimenti as a father who loved to read to his children and had a heart for the vulnerable. A $4,000 donation from his estate has allowed CCEW to purchase books and regularly stock this great resource for children in this neighborhood while supporting literacy, community and imagination.
