This Week God Brought Us: Herb

  • Feb 17
  • 1 min read

This week God brought us Herb, looking for help to keep his electricity on.  Herb is 82 and lives by himself. He keeps a part-time job in order to afford his medications and incontinence supplies. Lately, though, he’s been sick and unable to work those hours to supplement his income. He made a partial payment on his utility bill and found help through us and another local social service organization to keep his power connected.  Herb is a stand-in for hundreds of households in the area: seniors, living on a knife-edge, looking for creative ways to keep the wolf from the door. God brought us Herb this week, hoping we might pay attention.
